Why This Guide Exists
Missouri law makes many government records available, but released-person information is spread across several custodians. Barton County does not publish an official roster or recent-release feed. The Barton County Sheriff documents its own departure event. A person sent to another jail, MODOC, federal custody, or immigration custody must then be followed through that receiving system. This site brings those distinctions together so readers can use Missouri court records, the MODOC offender search, supervision offices, and federal locators in the right order.
The aim is practical and narrow. Each guide explains which office creates a record, what the public system can and cannot prove, and when a direct request is the primary route. A court order may explain why release was allowed, while the custodian records when physical control ended. Keeping those facts separate reduces false conclusions.
Records Covered Here
The Barton pages focus on official, purpose-neutral access to custody changes and release records. Topics include:
- The home page’s complete released-inmate search and release-record request path.
- Release date calculations, VINE and MOVANS checks, and post-release supervision.
- Separate pages for Barton’s jail, Lamar’s municipal pathway, MODOC, BOP and USMS, and ICE.
- Steps for requesting a booking sheet, final movement record, or booking photograph from the correct custodian.
Limits of This Site
This is a private reference site. It has no connection to Barton County, the State of Missouri, any sheriff, jail, court, corrections department, or federal agency. It does not control a roster, hold official records, or make custody decisions.
- We cannot release, hold, or transfer a person.
- We cannot post bond, arrange a visit, or send funds.
- We cannot give legal advice.
- We cannot promise that every outside contact, fee, or office detail remains current.
Only the responsible sheriff, jail, court, or corrections agency can confirm an official custody or release status.
How Search Partners Work
Some pages contain search boxes operated by third-party providers. Those companies set their own prices and control their own results. If a search leads to a paid registration, this site may receive a referral fee. That support helps keep these guides available without charging for the written county research. We do not control a partner’s coverage, billing, accuracy, or data practices.
